Hittite Warrior

Traveling
by plane from Istanbul to Ankara, I saw the sunset’s
last rays over Istanbul. The right side still sparkled with
light while the left side shifted into a dusk mode. A Hittite
warrior (the tall green form which splits the two halves)
looks into the darkening city. Animals abound everywhere,
including a unicorn (whose head and horn are to the right
of the warrior and whose body stretches behind the warrior
and continues on to the left edge of the painting), a ram’s
head, a seahorse, goats, etc. A couple mermaids. Many human
heads. The one at the center top beside the warrior’s
is actually three heads in one. Much action throughout.
