The
scarlets and oranges suggest sunset or possibly a fire. The
strip of blue and light violet running behind the “spirits:
could play the role of either background vegetation or of
flames. A hint of Native American culture is present in the
fifth form where a skinny wigwam contains on one flap a woman
in a red blanket, resembling the “doll” my mother
purchased in a Native American shop in Colorado.
