reversal in the line of tree spirits in Arboreal Spirits I.
The muted oranges in the background resemble the hues in the
cliffs above the sea along the Oregon coast, as well as smoldering
forest fires. The colors remind me of travels in Mexico, as
well as a ship cruise in the West Indies, and even of watching
a stage performance at the Cotton Club in Harlem.
